Free web space for new settlers in Hamilton, from Hamilton City Libraries, to digitally record the history of its communities. This free website is a part of the New Zealand National Library archive recording our history forever.

 

Community groups can use it as their web space to upload their events and activities along with its history to showcase the varied culture & communities of Hamilton.

It could be of your life in Hamilton or stories of your migration and settling down in Hamilton or some pictures or videos of events you have enjoyed in Hamilton. 

Hamilton City Libraries is helping create a digital knowledge basket of Hamilton memories for future generations to enjoy and everyone is invited to join the fun.The project aims to capture the memories of Hamilton and its communities through their stories, photographs, video and audio footage.

We have over 80 active international groups in our area. You will find that the diversity and vibrancy reflected in their involvement in cultural celebrations, traditional food, restaurants and shops in our community. Be part of the action. If you like to connect to your ethnic community or like to find out more about their activities get in touch with the contact person of the relevant groups.
