Last year was such a success we're doing it again!

We call all young local talents from a refugee or migrant background to participate. Paint, draw, sculpt, weave - all art is fabulous. You must be under 21 years and your piece of art must be less than 1m squared.

We need this by 7th June 2010

Art Expo / e.mer.gent Art Exhibition

The Art Expo was held prior to e.mer.gent to help budding talents develop their works of art. We are very grateful to the 10 local artists who gave up their time, providing demonstrations for approximately 30 familites from as many as 15 different ethnicities. Everyone was encouraged to take part in having ago at the variety of differnent techniques such as painting, pottery, bookmaking, henna, body painting, weaving, painting murals and screen printing.

The e.mer.gent Art Exhibition featured more than 40 talented local youth artists from 25 different ethnicities. Over 200 people attended the exhibition, viewing artwork created by young people between the ages of 5 and 20 years of age from migrant and refugee backgrounds.
