Community Centre
The Waikato Migrant Resource Centre functions as a city community centre with a range of educational programs and services for all ages and families - with a focus on migrant and ethnic communities. The Waikato Migrant Resource Centre is a warm and welcoming place for adults including multicultural members of the community with a variety of programs, groups, support services and activities to choose from. There are also numerous rewarding volunteer opportunities available at the centre. Adults are welcome to participate in evening and weekend programmes - as available and by invitation.
The Waikato Migrant Resource Centre offers 3 meetings rooms, (two rooms can be opened up as one large room), access to a kitchen, ample parking.
The centre is situated at Claudelands Park (Corner Heaphy Tce/Boundary Rd). The park location allows for outdoor activities for the wider community e.g. Children’s Day Celebrations, Garage Day, Health Day.
You may like to visit your local community centre in your neighbourhood. There are always regular, free programmes and activities available. Connect with your community house or community centre- you will be warmly welcomed and meet people that live locally. Community Centres are a place for you and your family and they are open to everyone.
Do you need a venue for a meeting, class or community event?
The Waikato Migrant Resource Centre is a place for migrant/ethnic communities to meet, arrange gatherings, events, classes and programmes. The centre offers rooms for hire and works with the community to support their specific needs.
