About Funders and Supporters

Funders and Supporters

The Waikato Migrant Resource Centre is working closely with the Hamilton City Council and functions as a community centre for ethnic communities and a hub for settlement services for the Waikato Region.

The centre is managed by the Hamilton Multicultural Services Trust (HMS Trust), assigned by the Waikato Migrant Resource Centre Inc. in a caretaker role for its operations.

Among the many roles the centre supports local settlement and community wellbeing for migrant/ethnic communities for the Hamilton and Waikato region.  It is accessed annually by over 8000 people from over 100 ethnicities. The centre is also a hub for refugee resettlement under the humanitarian immigration category. The centre offers assistance and is a vital place to connect across and within cultures.

At present the running of Waikato Migrant Resource Centre is supported by the following:

  • Hamilton City Council
  • Hamilton City Council Events
  • Trust Waikato
  • MSD
  • SSNZ-DOL
  • NZ Lottery Grants Board
  • Sky City Hamilton Community Trust
  • Wel Energy Trust Lion Foundation
  • Community Organisation Grants Scheme (COGS)

We have ongoing needs to allow for service delivery for our clients. You can assist us in various ways: Donations, event sponsorship, volunteering and in any other way you or organisation may like to help.
